HONORING:

Dan Ross and Lisa Copeland, as Board Chairs of the Open Door Care Network and Family Services of Westchester, have played a pivotal role in guiding our organizations through a period of transformative change. They have advanced a new vision of whole person care as Open Door and Family Services of Westchester have come together.

Danʼs and Lisaʼs leadership and steadfast commitment have been instrumental. The result is a stronger, unified organization that better serves our families and communities.

Dan Ross

Dan Ross recently retired as a Partner at Health Catalyst Capital, a New York City based private equity fund manager that invests in digital health companies seeking to improve the human condition and promote value-based care. Prior to joining Health Catalyst Capital in 2016, Ross spent 20 years as an entrepreneur and business executive active in tech-enabled health care services enterprises. During that period, he led two companies that he founded and managed through successful industry sales to public companies.

Previously, Ross had spent 13 years in the investment banking industry, largely at Salomon Brothers (now part of Citigroup). He and his wife lived for seven of those years in Asia and Europe, where their two children were born. Prior to his investment banking career, Ross practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City.

Ross has been a member of the Board of Directors of Open Door Care Network since approximately 2014, serving as chair from 2019 to 2025. He is also a volunteer advisor of recent college graduates through the Harvard Alumni Association, and has engaged in other youth-oriented charitable work.

Ross graduated from The University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an editor of the Virginia Law Review, and Harvard University. He is married to his college sweetheart, Tamara Mitchel, an attorney and social activist in the field of domestic violence, with whom he lives in Rye, New York

Lisa Copeland

Lisa Copeland joined the Family Services of Westchester (FSW) Board in 2013 and has served as Board Chair since 2017. Originally from the New Jersey Shore, Lisa earned degrees from Brown University and New York University before beginning her career as a New York City public school teacher.

For more than two decades, Lisa has dedicated her professional and volunteer life to strengthening nonprofit governance, fundraising, and volunteer engagement. In addition to her leadership at FSW, she serves on the Board of the Open Door Foundation, helping advance Open Door Care Network’s mission to provide high-quality, equitable health care to all. She is also Board Chair of SRI, a philanthropic and financial services organization based in Bayport, Minnesota.

Lisa serves on the Board of Directors of her family’s business, Andersen Corporation—a window and door manufacturer founded in 1903 by her great-great-grandfather. Deeply committed to community service, she is a former president of the Junior League of Central Westchester and currently serves on the board of The Sharing Shelf, a nonprofit addressing clothing insecurity among children and teens.
